Local people, local cars

A Malaga rent a car run by the same family for three generations

Fetajo started with ten cars in Calahonda. Today the fleet tops 4,000 vehicles, all owned by the company, and the people who answer your call still live on this coast.

That matters when something comes up mid-holiday: a flat tyre in Ronda, a child seat you forgot, a flight that lands at midnight. You speak to a local team who can sort it, not a call centre abroad.

Car hire Costa del Sol

Where a hire car takes you on the Costa del Sol

Families staying in Torremolinos or Benalmádena are a short drive from the airport. Further west, Fuengirola, Mijas Pueblo and Marbella line up along the A-7; Estepona and the Sierra Bermeja sit beyond.

East of Málaga, the road to Nerja passes fishing villages and the Balcón de Europa. Groups heading for the golf courses get a car big enough for clubs and luggage — mention it when you book.

FAQ

Rent a car in Malaga and the Costa del Sol: your questions

Do I need a car on the Costa del Sol?

For most trips, yes. The coastal train only runs from Málaga to Fuengirola; to reach Marbella, Nerja, the white villages or golf courses, a car saves hours.

Can I collect the car at my hotel instead of the airport?

Yes. We deliver to hotels and apartments in the towns listed above; give us the address while booking.

Are child seats available?

Yes, baby seats, child seats and boosters can be added to your reservation. Spanish law requires one for children under 135 cm.

Who can drive the car?

Drivers from 25 years old with a licence held for at least 2 years. The lead driver leaves a credit card in their name as a guarantee.

Is mileage unlimited for touring the coast?

Basic cover comes with 100 km a day (€0.10 per extra km). If you plan long drives along the coast or inland, full cover lifts the limit.
